Lascaux Primers
Acrylic Primers, Gesso, Size.
All of the following products are made by Lascaux and are of the very highest quality.They are suitable for a wide range of supports and are recommended for use as preparation for oil painting also.

Lascaux Primer White

Allows for very smooth priming, especially on linen and textiles. Can be diluted up to 1:1 withwater. More tooth can be added by mixing the primer with Lascaux Gesso White. Elastic, age resistant.

Lascaux Gesso White 755
Semi-absorbent, white acrylic primer. Light and age resistant. Especially suitable for oil, acrylic, watercolour and tempera painting. Can be sanded for a smooth surface

Lascaux Acrylic Size
Modern replacement for traditional sizing glues. Provides better reception for priming and avoids bleeding through. Light and age resistant.

Acrylic Mediums
LASCAUX
Acrylic Mediums, Additives. Used to change the consistency or finish of Lascaux Acrylic Colours.

Lascaux Retarder
Mix 1:1 with water and use to dilute Acrylic colours to extend the drying time. Not recommended for outdoor works.

Lascaux Thickener

Add sparingly to acrylic colours. Add drop by drop to thicken paint.

Lascaux Matting Agent

Add to acrylic colours to give a very matt surface characteristic of Gouache or mineral paints. Finished surface not scratch resistant.

Lascaux Medium

Matt, Gloss and Satin

Clear fluid medium to extend colours or change the finished sheen. Add To mixtures when heavily diluting colours to keep adhesive strength. Please specify whether Matt, Gloss or Satin when ordering.

Lascaux Impasto Gel Medium - Gloss and Matt

Clear, thick, gel medium for impasto techniques. Please specify whether Gloss or Matt when ordering.

Modelling Pastes

Stable flexible structuring pastes. They have very little tinting strength and so can be easily coloured by adding acrylic colour if desired. Non-yellowing.

Lascaux Plastik A

Smooth, hard texture.

Lascaux Plastik B

With added quartz to give a rough hard texture.

Lascaux Structura

Extremely lightweight, absorbent paste. Useful for work on paper or other more lightweight supports. Ideal for use with Lascaux Aquacryl.

Acrylic Varnishes

Varnishes of the highest grade. Water thinnable.Dry to a clear, hard flexible film that is age and light resistant. Can be used as a final protective coating or in mixtures with colours for glazing techniques.

Lascaux Varnish 575

Gloss and Matt

Please specify Gloss or Matt when ordering

Lascaux Varnish 575-UV - Gloss and Matt

As above, but with an UV filter to give added protection to delicate or fugitive colours and for works exposed to sunlight. Please specify whether Gloss or Matt when ordering.
